The best way to experience the breathtaking scenery and wildlife of Northern Ontario's Manitoulin Island is from the back of a horse!
Located in the heart of beautiful Manitoulin Island, Honora Bay Riding Stable offers an exciting horseback riding adventure you won't soon forget!
We provide a variety of trail rides and overnight excursions on trails through the surrounding forests, hilltop fields, and along the Niagara Escarpment.
We are a short 15 minute drive from Little Current, and central to the island's many attractions.
Over 20 well trained horses are waiting to take you out on trails led by our experienced guides who carry first aid gear and communication technology to ensure your safety. Whether you have never seen a horse in person or you're a seasoned rider, we've got a fun experience waiting for you!
In addition to trail rides we offer year round riding lessons with a certified CHA instructor. Take a tour through our website and explore all the options we have to offer. And don't forget our July and August daily Summer Horse Camp for kids aged 8-15! See you at the barn!
Kyla Jansen has been training horses ever since the age of seven and has now grown up to make horses her life. She is a double gold certified Chris Irwin trainer, CHA level 4 English and Western riding instructor.
Kyla's approach to training focuses on a happy, willing horse. She is greatly involved in the natural horsemanship training style of Chris Irwin and continues to attend clinics and horsemanship sessions to keep her training skills fresh and up to date. This training style uses a strong base in groundwork as a foundation of trust and respect before introducing a saddle and rider, even in horses who are already being ridden. This builds confidence and acceptance in the horse which leads to a great riding partner in whatever discipline you choose.
If you have a young horse in need of starting, an experienced horse with bad habits, or a horse you want to develop under saddle, please contact Kyla for more information.

Please remember that the summers are extremely busy so space for training board will be limited.
