Welcome to Honora Bay Riding Stable

The best way to experience the breathtaking scenery and wildlife of  Northern Ontario's Manitoulin Island is from the back of a horse!

  remember

Located in the heart of beautiful Manitoulin Island, Honora Bay Riding Stable offers an exciting horseback riding adventure you won't soon forget!

We provide a variety of trail rides and overnight excursions on trails through the surrounding forests, hilltop fields, and along the Niagara Escarpment.

We are a short 15 minute drive from Little Current, and central to the island's many attractions.

Over 20 well trained horses are waiting to take you out on trails led by our experienced guides who carry first aid gear and communication technology to ensure your safety. Whether you have never seen a horse in person or you're a seasoned rider, we've got a fun experience waiting for you!

In addition to trail rides we offer year round riding lessons with a certified CHA instructor. Take a tour through our website and explore all the options we have to offer. And don't forget our July and August daily Summer Horse Camp for kids aged 8-15! See you at the barn!

Western Clinic with Lindsay Grice

June 17, 18 2017

We are thrilled to host coach, judge, equine behaviorist and columnist Lindsay Grice for a  again this year for a  clinic at HBRS. Cost for the 2.5 days is $225 per horse and rider. We will be adding to what we've learned from Lindsay last year, in horsemanship and trail classes and western pleasure riding.  With lectures, private and semi private lessons with lots of one on one instruction for each horse and rider and group trail class learning and even a small feedback show.

As a lecturer in Equine Behavior and 25 years experience as a professional coach and trainer, Lindsay says she loves putting complex principles of horse training and competing into simple steps riders can understand. "I equip my students with a game plan for the training ring, warm up ring and show ring that I wish I had as a junior rider."   Read more
